WEST END, Ohio (WKRC) - A man was found shot in the West End Friday morning less than two blocks from an elementary school. Police have identified him as Troy Smith, 32.

Police say Smith was found slumped over the wheel in a car on Elizabeth Street about a block from Hays Porter Elementary. They're still trying to determine when he was shot.

Neighbors did not call 911 to report any shots fired. "It's highly unusual for this area. It is a fairly quiet neighborhood and again we don't know the circumstances of why this took place but it is unusual for this area for sure," said CPD Lt. Steve Saunders.

Investigators say they don't have any information about possible suspects to release.
