Public University lecturers demand for prosecution of 26 Vice-Chancellors

Public University lecturers are demanding for the prosecution of 26 Vice-Chancellors for allegedly misappropriating 10 billion shillings in non remittance of employees’ deductions. The lecturers through their union Universities’ Academic Staff Union want investigative agencies to step in and investigate the V.C’s with a view of prosecution. At the same time the university dons have objected to the plan by government to compel employees to contribute to the National Housing Development Fund.
