6.1km of Gulu municipality roads to be rehabilitated

The governments of Uganda and Japan have reaffirmed their commitment to spur infrastructural development in the Pearl of Africa. Two ministers for works and transport Eng. Monica Ntege Azuba and Gen. Edward Katumba Wamala together with the Japan Ambassador to Uganda Kazuaki Kameda to launch the rehabilitation of 6.1km of Gulu Municipal Council Roads. Azuba said this will enable Gulu Municipality to attract industrialists and she urged the district leaders to put the road equipment that government has provided to good use. Ambassador Kameda also promised more financial aid towards infrastructure, health, Agriculture and Water projects as part of its aid to Africa.
