The government has pledged to refurbish the Nairobi Gikomba market into a modern market place for small scale and medium entrepreneurs within a period of five years. Plans by the government to renovate the market at a cost of 19 Billion shillings as revealed by Gender affairs CS Sicily Kariuki comes barely a fortnight after property worth millions of shillings was reduced to ashes an inferno whose cause is yet to be established.
