Microsoft Excel Tutorial: Resizing Scroll Bar in Excel: Easy Fix for Small Size | MrExcel Netcast.

Welcome back to the MrExcel netcast! In today's episode, we're going to follow up on a previous topic from episode 548 where we discussed the size of the scrollbar in Excel. We learned that for shorter data sets, the scrollbar can be a useful tool for navigating through the entire set. However, we also discovered a problem that occurs when a cell is accidentally activated at the bottom of the spreadsheet. This causes the scrollbar to become incredibly small, making it nearly impossible to use for navigation.

In episode 548, I shared my trick of deleting the extra rows and saving the worksheet to restore the scrollbar to its original size. But thanks to a great tip from Derek in the UK, we now have an even easier solution. Derek suggested that instead of deleting the extra cell, we can simply control drag the sheet to create a copy. This automatically adjusts the scrollbar to its proper size, as if there were no cells being used below that point. It's a simple and efficient solution that saves us the hassle of deleting and saving the worksheet.

To copy the sheet, simply control drag the sheet tab to a new spot. It's a quick and easy process that will save you time and frustration.
