Dependence on traditional Birth attendants instead of skilled health workers during child delivery has been blamed for stagnation in new HIV AIDS infections within Bungoma county. The prevalence of HIV/AIDs in the county stands at 2.8 per cent with an estimated 30,000 people living with the virus.
