Railway finally allowed to pass through national park

After a long stalemate, the standard gauge railway will finally be allowed to pass through a 200 km stretch of the Nairobi national park. The progress of the build had been held up by differences between the national park management KWS, the National Land commission and the Kenya railways but today the parties agreed that the railway line be supported by pillars high and wide enough to leave the wildlife corridors intact.
