In this video, I’m hitting an 805 lb squat with chains, taking my squat training to the next level. The chains add accommodating resistance, increasing the load as I rise from the bottom, making this an incredible exercise for building both strength and explosive power. This setup is perfect for improving squat lockout, as the chains provide extra resistance during the top portion of the lift, helping to develop speed and power out of the hole.

I’ll walk you through the proper setup for chains, including chain placement, how to adjust for different heights, and the key technique cues for maintaining proper form under heavy load. The added chains force you to stay tight, control your descent, and explode upward to overcome the increased resistance at the top of the lift. It’s a great way to break through squat plateaus and improve overall squat performance.

If you’re looking to develop more power in your squat, boost your lockout strength, or add variety to your leg training, squatting with chains is a game-changing technique. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more powerlifting tips and strength training content!
