Maize farmers in Uganda can now adopt a simple hermetic storage technology to preserve and store maize for a longer period as they wait for better prices.

Sasakawa Global 2000, a non governmental organization that has been championing improved agricultural technologies in Uganda for the last twenty years are promoting the storage project through Bukoola agro chemicals.

Sasakawa global 2000 managers have also revealed why the country continues to face low maize prices following a bumper harvest earlier in the year.
