Considered a one hit wonder in America, Rocky Burnette was a 2 hit wonder downunder, after 'Falling in love' followed 'Tired of toein' the line' into the Aussie charts in 1980.'Tired of toein' the line' was the smash hit single off Rocky Burnette's 1979 recorded, 1980 charting album 'Son Of Rock & Roll'. The track entered our charts late March and went all the way to the top spending 2 weeks there, and 11 in the Top 10. Rocky travelled downunder appearing on the national music program 'Countdown' that helped put him there! His clip for the song also received high rotation; i recall something about pretty busty blondes and a fire hose! The recording made Top 10 for him at home in U.S.A but nothing further appeared for him; while his follow ups managed chart success in other centres. 'Tired of toein' the line' (yes i misspelled it on the opening graphic) is a great musical postcard from the era. i hope it brings back great memories for all who rediscover it.
