Don't miss out on these valuable resources—visit now and take your performance to the next evolution… the Endless Evolution! In this video, I’m hitting a massive raw squat with 610 lbs and 200 lbs of chains, totaling 810 lbs for 2 singles. This combination of weight and chains creates accommodating resistance, making the squat progressively harder as you rise, which helps develop power, explosiveness, and strength at the top of the lift. The chains increase resistance as they lift off the ground, forcing you to accelerate and push harder as you complete the squat. I’ll walk you through my setup, bar placement, and how I manage the chains for optimal performance. The chains provide an extra challenge, especially on the lockout, forcing me to accelerate out of the hole and improve my squat’s top-end strength. This session is a great example of how to use chains and raw squats to break plateaus and build a stronger posterior chain. If you’re looking to take your squat to the next level, improve explosive power, or learn more about using chains for squat training, this video has you covered.
