On this episode, it's all about Extra Hot Five Spices Beef Jerky. Found this at an Asian market in Portland. It had an overly sweet taste from all the sugar used in the recipe (listed second on the ingredient list). Five spice comes through. Tender flat strips, no toughness. Not bad, but unfortunately just disappointed that it really fell flat on heat. No heat whatsoever.
