A5090062 Izzy is a tender 6-year-old tricolor (black, caramel, and white) spayed female Miniature Pinscher and Dachshund mix whose owners surrendered her to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on July 16th because they had no time for her. Weighing 11 lbs, Izzy is as cute as can be with floppy ears and darling eyebrows (real name: “pips”). She’s a little overwhelmed in the shelter and doesn’t understand why she’s there, but she warms up quickly and likes people when given a chance to socialize. Her energy level is medium to low and for now she prefers to be carried rather than to walk on a leash. Izzy shows some signs of neglect in her teeth and in her coat (some hair loss, or alopecia), but our volunteers think she will blossom into a great dog once she is a properly cared indoor pet and family member in a loving home.
