Although on the whole I choose songs or artists that mean something to me; every once in a while I select a song I know nothing about; but during my research discover it was a hit from the period that I love. This is the case with Sad Cafe's 'Every day hurts'. Not only had I not heard of this great pop track, but recall nothing of them from the 1970's! I'm not sure why; but none of their recordings could crack the Australian Top 40, and it was only trawling through the charts that I found this song. Reaching a lowly #78 in early 1980, 'Every day hurts' was the British group's biggest seller at home; making #3.
