In recent years, questions have been raised over whether Kenyan media is under capture or not. Cases where the media has been seen to fail to cover important issues have caused some sections of society to conclude that the media is under the control of powerful people. A discussion that incorporated important voices in the media and civil society tried to get to the bottom of this in the annual media summit organized by the Media Council Of Kenya.
