KENTON COUNTY, Ky. (WKRC) -- Police say Ronald Hudson's murder in January was the fourth marijuana-related homicide in Kenton County since 2007.
Another one of those cases was Michaela Briede in Fort Mitchell.
Investigators believe her boyfriend was trafficking in marijuana. Her murder remains unsolved.
The Kenton County Commonwealth's Attorney, Rob Sanders says marijuana isn't as dangerous as drugs like heroin to use, but it is just as dangerous to sell and causes just as many problems.
"I think that's attributable to a number of different things," Sanders said. "Not the least of which is the number of people that use marijuana and it's far easier to find people to purchase the marijuana, to take it off of the robber's hands than most other drugs. Also marijuana is trafficked at such a higher price that it's easy to move marijuana in large quantities and turn large quantities into large dollar amounts."
