Many cultures believe corn silk to have medicinal qualities.  Next time when you are making soup or boiling your corn, don't forget to throw the corn silk in. You can make corn silk tea without the corn but I have a sweet tooth so I cook them together. Pregnant women should be careful not to consume corn silk tea as corn silk is known to induce contractions.
