For the latest news across Belize, visit: http://edition.channel5belize.com/ Armed, masked burglars hit C.D.S. Gas twice in one month and police blame a ring of thieves targeting the Ladyville and surrounding villages. The gas station on Burrell Boom road was targeted by burglars for a second time after three on Sunday morning. The burglars broke in through the back and ransacked the place. To their surprise, there was no cash inside and were only able to get away with small items. But the burglars held up the security guard and another person from the neighborhood. They abducted the men and drove them about a mile away in the guard’s vehicle, shot them and took off in their waiting getaway vehicle. The security guard has since been treated and released, while the other man remains hospitalized in a serious condition. Today A.S.P. Alejandro Cowo shared more about the incident.
