A5155401 Jet is a loving 2-year-old black-with-white Pit Bull and Border Collie mix who was found as a stray in La Puente and brought to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on March 3rd. Weighing 51 lbs, Jet is happy to meet new people and has a playful energy. He walks well on leash and already knows how to sit on command. As one of our staff members says, “He is just a good, good boy.” Jet finds the noisy shelter environment stressful and needs some time to unwind in a quieter, structured environment. During his behavior assessment, he was completely uninterested in interacting with the other dog to whom he was introduced; we suspect he will feel more playful once he has had time to decompress outside of the shelter. Because Jet demonstrated some nervousness when being handled by a staff member, we are recommending that he be adopted by dog-savvy adults with no small children in the home. Jet is a smart, cooperative dog who needs the second chance that a loving forever home can provide.
