British rockers Status Quo were almost as popular in Australia than they were in their homeland. They were regular visitors to our charts and our shores in the 1970's through to the early 80's. My eclectic tastes in pop music when i was young extended to include meat and potatoes rock and roll, and Status Quo provided that in abundance.

With a whopping 60 chart hits in Britain, they were at their peak when they issued 'Rockin All Over the World', another anthemic stomper which was released 35 years ago this week in Australia. It would rise to a #12 peak (a #3 in Britain)

Amazingly they are still recording and touring after 45 years! Their 1975 smash 'Down Down' has been reworked for an Australian supermarket chain tv campaign. Enjoy!
