Elections projects 6.1pc growth this year

Elections slated for next month will have a mild impact on the economy that is projected to grow 6.1 percent this year. The Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research-KIPPRA says this growth will be driven by among others private sector investment and exports. KIPPRA says the growth in exports and private sector investment should top 9 percent if Kenya is to attain the upper middle income status by the year 2030.
