The senate is demanding answers from the national government owing to the deduction of 9.4 billion shillings annually from counties to pay for leased medical equipment. The senate health committee which had summoned the health CS Sicily Kariuki over the matter was forced to adjourn prematurely after they sent her packing accusing her ministry of failing to provide satisfactory answers. Kevin Wachira with details as the senators demand justification as to why counties are paying for medical equipment that is gathering dust at county hospitals.
