Tonight, we hear first hand from teh victim in that case. Earlier tonight we spoke with the family involved in that fire and they tell us they weren't surprised to hear Richard Parker was in jail. They say immediately after they learned who the victims were in the explosion, they suspected Parker. There's not much left of Danny Martin's dream home in Giles County. His father-in-law's Civil War era log cabin was torched 14 years ago by the very man Martin initially trusted to renovate it. Martin says he soon changed his mind about Richard Parker. The work wasn't completed at the promised time and Martin says he had to hold off paying Parker more money until that changed. That's when the dream home burned down. Parker cut a plea deal and served probation, but the incident quickly came to mind for Danny and his father-in-law when they heard about Monday's explosion. In their mind Richard Parker was the one suspect who made sense. Martin tells us that Jon Setzer actually did some of the legal work for his son-in-law in the construction deal, and that's why he remembered the name when he heard it on television. He also says Parker ended up paying him $40,000 as part of that plea deal.Follow us on Twitter @wztv_fox17 and LIKE us on Facebook for updates.
