Microsoft Excel Tutorial: Create a Pivot Table for Each Customer Using Show Report Filter Pages in Excel.

Welcome to another MrExcel netcast! In this episode, we're going to dive into one of the most amazing tricks in pivot tables - the "Show Pages" feature. If you've been following along with our pivot table series, you know that pivot tables are a powerful tool for analyzing and summarizing large amounts of data. But did you know that you can use pivot tables to create individual reports for each item in a specific field? That's where the "Show Pages" feature comes in.

To demonstrate this feature, I'll start by creating a basic pivot table with "Products" in the rows, "Regions" in the columns, and "Revenue" in the data area. I'll also apply some formatting to make the report more visually appealing. Now, let's say I want to create a separate report for each customer. I'll simply drag the "Customer" field to the report filter section and choose "All" to include all customers in the report.

Next, I'll go to the pivot table tools "Options" dialog and select "Show Report Filter Pages" from the "Options" drop-down menu. This will prompt Excel to create a new worksheet for each customer, with the corresponding data for that customer. In just a matter of seconds, Excel has created 50 new worksheets in my workbook - one for each customer. This is an incredibly efficient way to produce individual reports for each item in a specific field.

The "Show Pages" feature is not new to Excel 2007 - it was also available in Excel 2003 under the "Pivot Table" drop-down menu. But regardless of which version you're using, this feature is a game-changer for anyone working with large amounts of data. So next time you need to create individual reports for each item in a pivot table, remember to use the "Show Pages" feature. Thanks for watching, and be sure to tune in for more helpful tips and tricks in our MrExcel netcast series."
