Microsoft Excel Tutorial: Quickly Zoom in Excel Using Ctrl + Wheel Mouse.
Welcome back to the MrExcel netcast! In today's video, I, Bill Jelen, have a simple yet incredibly useful trick to share with you. This trick was brought to my attention during my recent trip to Springfield, Missouri for the IMA seminar. I had known about it before, but it's so much easier than the traditional method of zooming in Excel, and I just had to pass it along to all of you.

We all know that when we want to zoom in or out in Excel, we usually use the zoom box in the Standard Toolbar. However, this can be quite frustrating as it only offers a limited number of options. You can choose from 75%, 50%, 200%, or type in a custom percentage like 155%. But what if I told you there's a much easier way to zoom in and out? If you have a mouse with a scroll wheel, you're in luck!

Simply hold down the CTRL key while using the scroll wheel on your mouse, and you can infinitely zoom in or out on your worksheet. No more limited options or having to type in a custom percentage. You can easily scroll until you find the perfect zoom level and then release the CTRL key. This trick was shared with me by the attendees of the Power Excel seminar in Springfield, Missouri, and I just had to share it with all of you. Thank you, Springfield, for the inspiration!
