Umeme lights up Tororo villages after 40 years of darkness

For over 40 years, the villages of Agururu and Amagoro in Tororo municipality have operated without electricity, however, a power project of almost 1 Billion Shillings is being undertaken within a period of one month. 

Residents in these areas have on the other hand welcomed this since they have always had electric appliances that they have not utilized.
