A review of the causes and treatment of urinary stone recurrence in a Shih Tzu. One year in Sep 2017, this dog had been operated at another vet for urinary stone blockage. Now, in Oct 2018, he could not pass water at all again. The urine test and stone analysis showed struvite stones. Acidifying diets are now fed by the owner to prevent another recurrence. She had fed commercial diet earlier, ignoring the advice of Vet 1.
