Battle over rental home ban in South Lake Tahoe heats up

As a first part of a South Lake Tahoe city rental home ban goes into effect, a lawsuit has been filed against Measure T that asks for an emergency injunction. The judge on the case did not issue an injunction, but instead recused himself, citing an unspecified conflict of interest. The most immediate impact of the ban is a strict 12-person per house limit, with a maximum of two people per room. It went into effect Thursday.
