The  National Police Serviceis rooting for a special police force to protect members of parliament. In a new Parliamentary Service Commission bill 2015, the commission wants the National Police Service to take into account its views when staffing the unit, including transfers and redeployment to the special team.  Also sought by the bill is the establishment of a Parliamentary Studies and Training University for members.
