A5181861 Evelyn is a graceful 2-year-old tan-and-black spayed female German Shepherd who was surrendered by her owners at the Lancaster Animal Care Center and transferred to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on October 21st. Weighing 59 lbs, Evelyn is an affectionate gal always seeking out people and attention. She has classic gorgeous German Shepherd looks (appearing purebred) with deep rust and black fur that is lovely and thick. She especially likes a good scratch around the neck. Evelyn is a bit underweight and should gain 5-10 lbs to look and feel her best. She is an agreeable and wonderful girl, wagging with happiness when she sees shelter staff she knows. Intelligent and alert, Evelyn is good on leash, and she’s so smart she will be quick to learn whatever she needs to know to make her people happy. She is recommended for adult only homes at least until she is comfortable and has more training to interact well with young ones. People oriented, Evelyn is eager to bond with humans who welcome her as a treasured indoor dog and member of the family.

Our Mission:

United Hope for Animals is dedicated to reducing homelessness among companion animals through spay/neuter, shelter support, photography, video and networking of shelter animals in Southern California. It is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization working to end homelessness among companion animals by supporting shelter adoptions and spay/neuter programs. Through our Shelter Support Program, our volunteers photograph and video shelter pets to increase their chances of adoption significantly. Our volunteer Adoption Coordinators help facilitate adoptions of shelter pets. United Hope for Animals supports rescue, spay/neuter and networking of shelter pets to increase their chances of adoption. UHA is not a shelter, but supports shelters to help increase visibility of animals who might not otherwise be seen.
