Here we see large logo 40145 parked up in the shadows of Castlecroft and receiving some attention on the Sunday before the SRPS rail tour from Carlisle to Fort William running on the 25th August 2007. Dave Peacock and Gordon Crawford had just replaced the brake blocks, the loco had been cleaned internally and externally, and now Gordon (out of view) was working on the windscreen water system inside the No. 1 nose end, whilst Dave was on the line driving Class 37 37175. Clearly, the Class 40 Preservation Society do put a lot of effort into looking after their precious engines with 40145 looking glorious in this shot. This is the East Lancashire Railway and the date is Sunday 19th August 2007.
