Kenya’s food security strategy could be in jeopardy if issues around appropriate use of fertilizer are not urgently addressed. In Muranga County, some farmers say harvests have drastically reduced in what experts blame on the use of substandard fertilizer and soil acidity. These are among issues expected to be tackled at the Kenya Fertilizer Roundtable slated to be held in Nairobi mid this month.
