For the latest news across Belize, visit: http://edition.channel5belize.com/ Miss Universe Belize, Jenelli Fraser, appeared on stage this morning in Bankok, Thailand where the national costume competition of Miss Universe took place. Fraser wore a stunning ensemble designed by David A Matus and Roberto Pasos Dominguez showing off the Mayan culture. It depicted Kinich Ahua, the Mayan sun god designated as God D in the codices. The famous Mayan jade head was portrayed as part of a staff she carried as she walked confidently on stage. Belizeans at home and abroad beamed with pride when they saw her appearance on the preliminary competition. Here is a look at Fraser during this morning’s show where some costumes stood out for creativity and imagination.
