'Hot Love' was sadly the last Top 40 hit that Scottish singer Kelly Marie placed in the British chart. Managing to shoehorn the word 'love' into all 4 of her chart singles and also a fifth (the one that gave her the biggest success in Australia "Make Love To Me)', record buyers seemed to have fallen out of love with the dynamic singer when 'Hot Love' managed only #22 in early 1981 and the next release (another love title), 'Love Trial' stalled outside the Top 50. 'Hot Love' fared best in Ireland where it made #13. 20 years later, in early 01, 'Hot Love 2001 was recorded and released, with what sounds like a new vocal. I have a clip of that as well as more Kelly Marie. Those powerful vocals are just too wonderful to ignore. It is also nice to hear the singer's Scottish roots on display on this disco track with the bagpipes getting a section of their own!
