Rain showers will become more widespread through the daylight hours along with a chance of thunderstorms. The Sacramento valley and parts of the foothills are under a marginal risk for thunderstorms through sunset. These thunderstorms could produce heavy downpours, lightning, thunder, strong winds, and small hail. There’s even a slight chance of seeing funnel clouds this afternoon.
