Lockdown lifted at St. Elizabeth's in Fort Thomas after man commits suicide

FORT THOMAS, Ky. (WKRC) - Police say a man is dead after he shot himself in the parking lot of St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Fort Thomas Friday afternoon. The incident started around 3:30 p.m. when someone called 911 and said there was man inside a car with a gun. When police arrived, they said they realized he wasn't threatening anyone, but he was suicidal. Police put the hospital on lockdown as a safety precaution as police tried negotiating with the man. The emergency room remains closed at this time. No one else was hurt.
