KAM wants levy on imports into EAC scrapped

Kenya Association of Manufacturers is calling for the scrapping of the 1% levy on all imports into the East African Community introduced by the EAC Council of Ministers. KAM CEO, Phyllis Wakiaga has further urged the Ministry of Industrialization to address pending issues such as the Non Tariff Barrier Bill 2015.  The association was meeting the Industrialization Secretary in their quarterly briefings to discuss issues around local manufacturing.
