How to make a Small Cabinet on a Stand - Part 1 Materials and Doors I'm starting the build today. I'll show you the wood I've selected, and make a start on the cabinet doors. My doors will be veneered, but you could easily substitute solid or panel doors. I will try to use methods within the scope of most home workshops; so no veneer press or vacuum press in sight! I cut my own veneers on my homemade bandsaw. It's not completely built yet, and the cut, although not wandering at all, is a little rough, so I have a little more cleaning up with the hand plane than would normally be the case. Before anyone asks, no it isn't the Woodgears bandsaw, but seeing Mathias' in action inspired me to design and build my own from scratch. If you want to build your own, I will be publishing my design in the future, however Mathias' plans are available now if you can't wait (and by all accounts they are excellent).
