The Government extends the logging ban for another one year

The Government has extended the logging ban for another one year to facilitate reforms at the Kenya Forest Service .The logging ban was which was first put into place on February this year was extended by a further six months which would have ended on the 24 November. In extending the ban, Environment Minister Keriako Tobiko said the extension the of moratorium is to allow the restoration and rehabilitation of the degraded critical water catchment areas and natural forests.
