DAYTON -- For three years Madison Schroeder was a role player for Carroll as the Patriots made three trips to the regional finals and one trip to the state championship game. This year Schroeder was asked to step up with the graduation of several key seniors. The Patriots had three players that accounted for about 35 points per game on average graduate but Schroeder quickly went to work. Putting in more time in the off-season the senior is seeing benefits that she never expected. Schroeder has doubled her points per game now scoring about 18 per contest and continues to rebound very well, chalking up about 12 boards per contest. That Patriot's leader also is a key contributor in getting assists, steals and especially blocks. The all-around Schroeder is hoping to help Carroll return to the regional finals for the fourth year in a row.
