A5212196 Dodger is a stunning 4-year-old black-and-tan neutered male German Shepherd who was found as a stray in Azusa and brought to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on October 16th. Weighing 84 lbs, Dodger is a strikingly handsome example of the breed with classic good looks and a lighter colored coat that’s more cognac and cream than tan and black. He is a confident and independent fellow with a calm energy level. Dodger’s thin waist shows he is underweight and we think he should be closer to 100 lbs to be healthy. Dodger will benefit from basic training but is a smart guy, so he should learn everything he needs to know rather quickly. Dodger can’t wait to meet the family or individual that will take him on many adventures. It is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization working to end homelessness among companion animals by supporting shelter adoptions and spay/neuter programs. Through our Shelter Support Program, our volunteers photograph and video shelter pets to increase their chances of adoption significantly. Our volunteer Adoption Coordinators help facilitate adoptions of shelter pets. United Hope for Animals supports rescue, spay/neuter and networking of shelter pets to increase their chances of adoption. UHA is not a shelter, but supports shelters to help increase visibility of animals who might not otherwise be seen.
