Today we're taking another important step before opening our doors—installing the store's security camera system.

While renovations, painting, flooring, and branding are exciting, protecting your investment is just as important. In this episode I explain why I believe every small business should install a surveillance system before opening.

Our new camera system includes multiple high-definition cameras positioned to cover every entrance, the front counter, customer traffic, and the rear of the building. The goal isn't just to record events—it’s to discourage theft and create a safer environment for customers, employees, and the business itself.

I also show how I've positioned the cameras for maximum coverage and explain why I prefer mounting them inside the building rather than outside where they could be damaged.

Opening a business isn't only about building shelves and stocking products—it's about protecting everything you've worked so hard to create.
