Kenya set to expand exports to US

Local manufacturers are calling on the government to engage the East Africa Community member states to remove bottlenecks and non-trade barriers that hinder market access within the region. Kenya Association of Manufacturers told Industrialization Cabinet secretary Adan Mohammed that an increase in export volumes within the East African region would help support the shilling from weakening. This comes barely a week after the US government extended African Growth and Opportunity Act, AGOA, by another ten years. By Ronald Owili.
