A5097351 Jimmy is a handsome 1-year-old tricolor (black, caramel, and white) male Papillon and Long-Haired Dachshund mix puppy who arrived at the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center as a stray from Baldwin Park on August 5th. Weighing 11 lbs, Jimmy is an intelligent, alert pup, who has the energy of a puppy but also enjoys a good cuddle with some belly rubs (check out his video for his love of belly rubs on display). Jimmy is initially cautious and finds the shelter environment stressful (as many pups do), but he warms up with a patient approach and is sure to blossom in a forever home where he has a chance to relax and feel secure. Jimmy walks nicely on leash, and will be quite a head-turner prancing down the block with what one volunteer described as his “sweet puppy eyes.” He also shows signs of housetraining, and seems to get along with other dogs. Jimmy will be an affectionate, indoor companion for an individual or a family with older children, and is ready and waiting for his forever home.

Our Mission:

United Hope for Animals is dedicated to reducing homelessness among companion animals through spay/neuter, shelter support, photography, video and networking of shelter animals in Southern California. It is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization working to end homelessness among companion animals by supporting shelter adoptions and spay/neuter programs. Through our Shelter Support Program, our volunteers photograph and video shelter pets to increase their chances of adoption significantly. Our volunteer Adoption Coordinators help facilitate adoptions of shelter pets. United Hope for Animals supports rescue, spay/neuter and networking of shelter pets to increase their chances of adoption. UHA is not a shelter, but supports shelters to help increase visibility of animals who might not otherwise be seen.
