In this video, I'm focusing on Overhead Lockouts, an excellent exercise for building overhead pressing power, stability, and strength in the shoulders, triceps, and upper chest. Overhead lockouts are typically performed with a barbell or heavy dumbbells, and the goal is to press the weight to arm’s length above your head and hold it in the "lockout" position, working on strengthening the top portion of your overhead press.

I’ll walk you through the setup, grip, and technique for this lift, emphasizing the importance of proper bracing, engaging the core, and driving the weight overhead with control. The overhead lockout is particularly useful for improving the final phase of your overhead press and building triceps strength to improve lockout in movements like the military press and push press.

If you're looking to develop explosive pressing strength or improve your lockout in the overhead press, the overhead lockout is an essential exercise to add to your training regimen. Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more strength training tips and exercises!
