Microsoft Excel Tutorial: Forms, Surveys, and Quiz in Excel.

Welcome to another episode of the MrExcel Podcast, where we dive into all things Excel. In this episode, we will be continuing our discussion on Forms, Surveys, and Quizzes in Excel. If you haven't already, please subscribe to our channel and hit that bell icon to stay updated on all our latest videos.

Since our last episode on this topic, I have had the chance to explore these new forms tools even further and have discovered some great new features that I am excited to share with you. But before we dive into that, let's take a look at the results from our previous episode's survey.

In our last episode, we talked about the new Forms button that was added to the Insert tab in Office 365 and how it could generate an online form. We even had a giveaway where one lucky winner would receive a copy of the brand new book, Excel 2019 Inside Out. We received a total of 199 responses, with the top three answers being Coke, Pepsi, and water. It was also interesting to see the completion time of the survey, with peaks during lunchtime and towards the end of the workday. We also had responses from all around the world, from Alaska to Miami, and even as far as Saudi Arabia and South Africa.

But that's not all, since our last episode, I have written a few more articles about these forms and have learned some new things that I want to share with you. For example, did you know that you can upload a picture and choose from a variety of themes for your form? And there are also options to add subtitles and set restrictions for certain questions. However, one frustrating issue is that even if we force a question to be a number, the data will still be returned as text in Excel.

But there are also some cool tricks that you may not have noticed, such as the option to shuffle answer choices or convert them into a drop-down menu. And there are also new question types, like the Net Promoter Score, which allows you to measure customer satisfaction. And if you want to create a quiz instead of a form, you can assign points to each question and even restrict responses to only people within your organization.

Overall, these forms, surveys, and quizzes in Excel have a lot of subtle features that you may not notice at first, but can be very useful once you discover them.
