Aaron Murakami shows the first school girl motor he built, roughly seven years before recording. The coil is 600 turns on a solid iron core with plexiglass ends, the rotor is a pink roller skate wheel off a two dollar pair from Goodwill with two small neodymium magnets recessed every 90 degrees, and the circuit is a single 2N3055 transistor, a 1N914 diode and one resistor running off a 7 amp hour 12 volt gel cell. He gives it a spin and notes that as it kicks into the higher speed the current draw drops back slightly, with only a trigger and a power winding on the coil. https://emediapress.com https://emediapress.com/energytimes Posted 2012-11-27.
