The roll out of the competence based education curriculum will begin in January 2019 and not 2020 as earlier announced. Education cabinet secretary Amina Mohamed says the decision was arrived at after extensive consultations with education stakeholders who gave the implementation of 2-6-3-3-3 system a clean bill of health. The announcement by the cabinet secretary was hailed by the Kenya Publishers Association which noted that the much-awaited reforms must methodically take effect.
