Multi -Agency Team on countertfeits denies frustrating small enterprises

The Multi-Agency Team on counterfeits has defended its operations saying they are not bent on frustrating small and medium enterprises. Appearing before the national assembly committee on trade, the multi-agency team said despite the small and medium scale traders benefitting from the amnesty issued on importations, the containers had to be verified and inspected. The taskforce led by deputy head of public service Wanyama Musiambu assured traders that all containers awaiting clearance at the port will be processed within two weeks.
