Welcome back to another episode of "Where Is It Wednesday"! I want to give a big shoutout to George Wood for the awesome theme song. Today, we have a great tip sent in by Shlomo. He saw our last podcast where we talked about creating a Cartesian Grid and how to get the numbers to appear directly on the grid lines. Shlomo reminded me about the camera tool, and I have to say, it's a game changer.

In Excel 2003, we would have used the camera tool for this, but in Excel 2007, it's a bit trickier to find. They've hidden it under the Paste as Picture option, and then Copy as Picture. It's definitely not the most intuitive location, but once you find it, you'll see how powerful this tool can be. By copying the range as a picture, we can then paste it onto our Cartesian Grid and easily align it with the grid lines.

But what if you're using Excel 2003? Don't worry, the camera tool is still available. In fact, the grid lines are a bit darker in Excel 2003, making it even easier to align the numbers with the grid lines. Simply insert a new worksheet, add the numbers, and turn off the grid lines under Tools, Options, and the View tab. Then, use the camera tool or hold down the Shift key and go to the Edit menu to copy the picture. Paste it onto your Cartesian Grid and adjust the offset to align it perfectly with the grid lines.

I have to admit, both methods are a bit obscure, but they are definitely worth knowing. So whether you're using Excel 2003 or 2007, you now have the power to easily align numbers with your Cartesian Grid. Thanks again to Shlomo for sending in this great tip, and thank you for tuning in.
